Conservation Leadership Program

The Conservation Leadership Program is accepting applications for the 2010 Future Conservationist Awards. Designed to develop leadership capacity among emerging conservationists working to address the most pressing conservation issues of our time, the awards are offered on an annual basis to teams that exhibit leadership potential in biodiversity conservation and have the potential to develop key skills through small-scale practical conservation projects. Recipients become eligible for continued support through the CLP as they develop in their careers.

An exciting new grants program designed to support selected middle school teachers and service-learning coordinators in strengthening their delivery of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) curricula through service-learning. The program will target students from disadvantaged circumstances in states with the highest drop out rates in the nation (Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, and Washington).

Grant to be Awarded for Innovative Student Green Service at GreenBusiness Works EXPO
The EXPO, which will be held in Atlanta, GA from September 2 - 3, 2009, will provide business, community and government leaders from around the Southeast with real-world best practices for sustainable environmental strategies. Additionally at the EXPO, a CASE grant from the Jimmy & Rossalynn Carter Partnership Foundation (JRCPF) will be awarded to the winner of a student competition for the most innovative promosal for a student led "green" community service project. The winning student will receive $1,000 to implement their project, plus a merit certificate and a $500 scholarship upon completion of a project report.
